El Pato in Harlingen

I called to order carne guisada...from Harlingen...Diego told me it has too much fat that I can order something else...that "apparently customers bn returning it"..or was it cuz they didn't want to make anymore since it was already at 7:30pm...don't diss ur workplace...if u had complaints remove it..and kindly say that meal is not available...I'm not dissing Diego but his manager whom could of taken action...to dismiss the plate to avoid complaints n returns...Sylvia(headcook)., Ruth(mic)

Love their fresh made flour tortillas!

Went to have a late lunch and service was horrible. Our food was given to someone else. You could hear the waitresses arguing with cooks. No salsa whatsoever. Poor service.

Way too many raw onions on my enchiladas. Gross!

Going through a drive-through takes ridiculous amount of time just to place your order in. Smh 🤦

El Pato has some good Mexican food. I really enjoy their flour tortillas. Would have to say that they have better days than others when it comes to their quality of their food but most of the time it is good. During this pandemic it has always been open and have never seen it this busy. Their workers put in great effort to make sure we our food on time. Usually call it in ahead so I wont have to wait longer than I have to.

The food is always good and fresh. The team at this location are awesome everyone acknowledges you as you walk through the door and they thank you on the way out.

The barbacoa is the worst that I have ever tasted. Their cheese or beef enchiladas are great.

The Mexican plate with enchilada special and Fajita was good at a very good price 699

Not sure what the big deal is with this restaurant. Not bad, but in no way is this great Mexican food. The only way I could describe it would be to say that it's a little more authentic Mexican than Taco Bell.

Very rare you get a quick service I swear sometimes I am waiting for over 36 min to get my tacos. And just cause they are for my daughter cause if it was fir me I wouldnt go at all. Not cause tacos are bad but for not havung a more quick service 😕

Chorizo patos were delicious.

Ordered the Chicken Fajita Nachos and the chicken was very soft and good! Cheese was stringy which I like. They have a salsa bar as well with chips to munch on.

By the time we got our tortillas our food was cold. Poor service had to remind them a couple of times until we finally got them.

First visit. Had the nachos, and they were good. Friendly service and fast. Salsa bar. Not the best and certainly not the worst. Will go back for sure. Breakfast served all day. Nice for a quick meal.

Love their flautas. Good breakfast tacos too. Just don't go through the drive through if you're in a hurry!

Decent food and the staff work hard. The salsa is glad and not very good. They should just replace it with their red sauce. That stuff is good

This is one of the best locations in their chain. The place is clean and they're fast. I ordered too many tacos thinking that I wouldn't get full with just two, but I was wrong. Their spicy salsa is also amazing. I will definitely return to this location in the future when I'm in Harlingen. I ordered two breakfast tacos and two fajita tacos, by the way.

Friendly service, GREAT food and a great price. My husband and I had two breakfast tacos each, and one soda for $8.39! Love this place. Sometimes you have to wait a bit, but the food and value is worth it.

I had their chicken pato with avocado. My sister had their fajita pato. They were very delicious. Meat was flavorful and tender. Highly recommend them.

I have been a frequent customer here since I was a kid and the quality has always been as good as I expected it.

I usually pick up Chicken Guisada plates to go from this location about twice a month. The business is run like a fast food restaurant, but the food is of higher quality, especially when factoring the relatively low price. If you go inside, the is complimentary chips and a salsa bar.

Great homemade tortillas and food! Waiting in drive-through is always long but it is homemade so we understand it takes longer than regular fast food. I would recommend that they check their homemade food and be more careful in how they serve due to the fact I have found pieces of food that should not be in mine. I have found onions, tomatoes and the stem of an avocado when they should not be there which is why they did not get 5 stars.

Food is freshly made to order. Staff for the most part greets and are respectful. Place is clean and smells like some good food is cooking!

38 min in Drive thru. stupid

Waited over a half hour for food while drive through was an average of less than 10 min, one person waited almost forty minutes.

If you like waiting 40 minutes for basic Mexican food come here. Very slow service, need to work on a system.

If you enjoy traditional Mexican food done right, this is the place for you. The menu has something for everyone, with extremely affordable prices. My personal favorite is the Chicken Pato plate, served with 2 chicken guisada tacos stuffed with avocado and melty cheese. Served with ranchero beans and Mexican rice. My family and I love this place, and we know you will too.

The food was delicious although the wait time was a little long but I would definitely use the drive-thru next time. Great food, great value.

Drive thru takes a long time and after you order and pay they make you wait ✋ in the parking lot. They need doordash or grubhub, el pato has good food but they need to keep up with the times.

Love this place. Delicious carne guisada tacos and good salsa. I stop in for an order of their tacos Everytime I am in the area. Wish there was one in my own city.

Went to get breakfast, ordered menudo, they didn't give me corn tortillas or lemon bad service just goes to show when u have to check ur bag to see if everything is in there, they are have asleep at drive thru

This place has drop the ball. No more will I go there again.
